In Cameroon, a free cervical and breast cancer campaign was launched by the Women’s Intercessory International Network (WIIN) in partnership with Emperor Foundation Medical Diagnostic Center, Mile 4 – Limbe. The campaign, which took place from October 23-31, 2024, at Emperor Foundation Medical Diagnostic Center, aimed to provide cervical and breast cancer screening to women and girls in the region.
Free Screening and Vaccination: 100 women received free cervical abd breast cancer screening using the AmpFire HPV analyzer.
Community Sensitization: The campaign included community sensitization and education on cervical and breast cancer, as well as the importance of screening and vaccination.
Increased Access to Healthcare: The campaign increased access to healthcare services for women and girls in the region, particularly those who cannot afford screening and vaccination services.
Early Detection and Treatment: The campaign helped detect cervical cancer cases early, allowing for timely treatment and reducing the risk of complications.
Raising Awareness: The campaign raised awareness about cervical and breast cancer, encouraging women to prioritize their health and seek medical attention when needed.
